BREAKING DOWN THE MYTHS

  1. NO CARB + LOW CARB DIETS ARE BEST FOR WEIGHT LOSS

THE TRUTH

Your body will burn fat with or without carbs - but the thing is, your body needs carbs for energy and for your brain to function.

THE REASON THIS IS A MYTH

Too many people don’t understand the different forms of carbohydrates.

THE SOLUTION

Learning how to get carbohydrates from the RIGHT sources - which are COMPLEX Carbohydrates.

Simple Carbs are the ones that digest quickly and spike your insulin levels. These are found in processed whole grains and refined carbohydrates (breads, white pasta, donuts, cupcakes, etc). Complex Carbs have a higher amount of fiber so they digest slowly. This makes them more filling and provides longer lasting energy to the body. These are found in Intact Whole Grains (Quinoa, Brown Rice, Steel Cut Oats, etc), Vegetables and Fruits.

Knowledge is power. Knowing what is true and knowing when information is not the full truth is powerful when it comes to your health and wellness. So stay tuned as we break down the most common Nutrition myths out there in the world today.
